Talking About Seattle on the Amateur Traveler

I’ve lived in Washington State all of my life, and the greater Seattle area for most of it. When my friend Chris Christensen from the Amateur Travler wanted to talk about the city, I was happy to oblige. The discussion center mostly on things to do in downtown Seattle, things you wouldn’t need a car to go see or do.

  1. Hi MJ

Just listened to your interview on the A.T. podcast on Seattle – thanks for the useful ideas. My wife and I will be visiting in late Sept – first time to Seattle and the USA for both of us.

Trip takes us first to SF, then LV, then Seattle, Van, LA and home

could you help us out with a few suggestions on where to eat to Seattle, apart from Dick’s Diner which you mentioned in your interview on A.T? We’re pretty much mid-range travellers, not high end, but slightly upmarket from McDonalds! We love buffets, seafood and Asian especially Thai & Viet

We’re staying in Belltown. (hope that’s suitably convenient to the attractions you mentioned?)

    regards

  2. I’d be happy to offer some suggestions. I’ve sent you an email to get a few specifics and we can continue the conversation that way.
